Greetings, dear reader
Not very much has happened since my last blog posting, except for a few things which I shall go into a bit more detail about here. Besides these things, I have been working on my TESOL certificate and resuming my normal part time shift at Big W. Since graduating however, I have been holiday mode which I need to snap out of.
March 17 is a memorable date for many reasons. For the Irish, it's St. Patrick's Day, a great excuse to wear green and go wild on the Guinness and merry folk singing. For my parents, it's their wedding anniversary (their 26th this year to be exact). As for me, March 17 2010 was the day of my official graduation from the University of Melbourne with a B.A. It was great to bump into some familiar faces with whom I have shared the journey, especially one of my German teachers, "Onkel Leo" Kretzenbacher, whose PhD student was receiving her doctorate.
Then there were two weddings in the space of four days, the first one between Edwin and Bec, who are old friends from church. This one took place at the Police Academy in Glen Waverley, quite a popular venue for weddings due to its impressive graduation hall. The second wedding took place at the beautiful Morning Star Estate in Mount Eliza, between two old school friends, Steve and Krystal, who have been together since late high school. I wish all of God's blessings on both couples as they begin this new phase of their lives.
In other news, our family has FINALLY upgraded our internet access to a 40GB per month broadband ADSL wireless plan, which means I can now surf the net from the comfort of my own room. Tonight I am holding my birthday party, as I can't do very much on my actual birthday which is on Monday. The plan is to have dinner at Penang Affair, a Malaysian restaurant in Fitzroy, followed by pool / snooker at my favourite place, Red Triangle. I can hardly wait to catch up with the people who are coming.
OK, that's it for now. Cheers and God bless
Jeremy
Congratulations on the graduation Jeremy. What a great achievement, and Happy Birthday for Monday!
